Recommend A...Book That Made You Emotional!!
My choice for this week is A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
This book made me feel feelings. I had a few moments of ugly crying but it was also so refreshing that I was left feeling both empty and so filled with emotions that it's hard to even describe. I reviewed it on the blog a few months back and it comes highly recommended!
Wow, this one sounds really intense! I read the description for it on Goodreads and have to admit that I'll definitely be adding it to the TBR list even though I'm almost afraid to read it. Thanks for the wonderful recommendation and for stopping by earlier!

Oh I want to read this! After seeing the book trailer, which is fantastic, it caught my attention. The artwork looks amazing, and Patrick Ness is a favorite author of mine. I'll have to grab it from the library next visit!
ReplyDeleteMy husband read this book last year - and while he isn't an overly emotional reader, I could tell it hit him in a different place than most books do.

I'm such a Patrick Ness fangirl. I read this book BECAUSE of Patrick Ness being the author and was emotional but I read it the day after I finished The Fault in Our Stars, so I think I was all cried out. I wasn't as emotional as I was enamored at how excellent it is. Both written and illustrated.
ReplyDeleteI was extremely emotional over Patrick Ness' Chaos Walking Trilogy, though. Like, Todd Hewitt is my man. Even though he is WAY younger than I am. I will love him forever. And I cried way too much at those three books. They are among my favorites, forever and always.
I really want to read this one. I also have the first book in the Chaos Walking Trilogy. I heard it outstanding too.
